Arch Materials
PROJECT PROFILE
After visits to many of our existing aggregate plant projects and to those of our competitors, the management of Arch Materials selected GW Systems as the design/build contractor for their new Ohio facility. Maintaining rigid quality standards in our foundation, mechanical, and structural design earned our company this project in the midst of strong price competition. Our core belief is that a reputation for quality throughout the engineering, manufacturing, and installation process will merit contract award from experienced, informed and value oriented buyers.
The scope of our contract includes the turn-key supply of the underground primary crushing stations, the above ground surge tunnel system through the secondary and tertiary crushing and screening systems as well as the wash system and de-dusting system.
We began the project with a commitment to Arch to have the surge system, the scalping screen station and seven conveyors operational and in production within three months of mobilizing the site. We honored that commitment. As of April 1, 2009, GW Systems is nearing completion of the remaining crush/screen stations and the last of the thirty three above ground conveyors. We are now in the process of updating each employees MSHA Part 48 training and preparing to begin underground installation. Our goal is to have the project completed and turned over to our customer in the early fall.
GW Systems has enjoyed our working relationship with the people of the Arch Materials group and is looking forward to a continuing relationship.
